Domestic Cat Lifesize Mount by DeerfishTaxidermy Domestic Cat Lifesize Mount by DeerfishTaxidermy
This is the finished cat mount that I have done recently. I quite like how it turned out, though I am excited to do more feline animals in the future. Of course I want to improve and I am excited how the next cat will turn out. :w00t:

I would like to sell this mount. But because it's a domestic cat it's not allowed to sell it to every country.
I made a quick research and I think US is out completely.
The article said It's prohibited to import ANY kind of dog or cat fur or merchandise/items that contain parts or full furs of dogs and cats.

I didn't find anything for Europe though. Domestic cats are not a protected/endangered species.
If you're interested and know your country laws please contact me.

If anybody of you in general knows about importing domestic cats anywhere you can of course comment :aww:

I can tell you it's legal as far as Canadians importing it. Government here refuses to ban the sale of cat and dog fur because "it might hurt the sealing industry"... however that works. :P

Hm, I didn't read anything about Canada. I'm not really comfortable with sending it overseas, I think I'll stick with Europe. Don't want to get anywhere trouble :aww:

Fair enough. If you want more info on Canada and laws: " In Canada, in 2006, a private member's bill was proposed to amend the Hazardous Products Act by adding cat and dog fur to the list of products prohibited from import. However, the bill was dissolved along with Parliament that year, which means it is still perfectly legal to import and sell cat and dog fur in Canada." - www.winnipeghumanesociety.ca/f… It's an active campaign to ban trade. However with the current government the new proposed bill will never pass. They value money over animal welfare. You may have a hard time selling within Europe. Italy, France, Denmark, Greece, Belgium, Switzerland, the USA and Australia have bans on import, and as of January 1, 2009 the European Union prohibits all trade in cat and dog fur.

The bans for the European Union are only for the fur of dogs and cats because it's not allowed to use them for garment products. But as a mount it's perfectly fine to sell it here.
It's not like it needs to go immediately, I can wait until someone is interested :aww:
