oh that sucks lol. Well I'm looking for various skulls for an art series right now and I'm looking for a wolf in particular that's been difficult to find. If you know where you can get one/if you have one for sale for a good price let me know :) Thanks

Hehe okay.
I will probably never get a wolf. Next week I will start doing replicas again. But only of not that rare skulls. Wolf skulls are pretty hard to find and very expensive. And since I am not collecting taxidermy items myself I won't get along one :>

I cleaned as much flesh of off them as possible then put them into chlorine bleaching and after that into hydrogene oxid for whitening them O:

would you mind making a little tutorial on how to clean bones that way?
i live in an apartment and have no access to a backyard etc, where i can use
methods like beetles~ maybe you have some tips for me?

Haha okay. Dann schreib ich das mal auf deutsch.
Also ein ganzes Tutorial wollte ich eigentlich nicht machen. Kanns dir aber kurz so erklären ist wirklich nicht kompliziert.
Schritt 1: Kopf vom Körper trennen und ihn dann in einem kleinen Topf mit Wasser kurz kochen. Das macht es einfach das Fleisch von den Knochen zu bekommen. Ich koche die Schädel ca. 10-15 Min...länger nicht.

Schritt 2: mit Skalpell und Pinzette so viel Fleisch wie möglich entfernen. Das Gehirn hole ich immer unter fließendem Wasser raus, das kann man ganz gut rausspülen, wenn man vorher ein bisschen mit der Pinzette drin rumgestochert hat ;p

Schritt 3: Schädel für kurze Zeit in Chlorbleichlauge legen, das ätzt die letzten organischen Reste vom Fleisch weg, die man mit der Hand nicht wegbekommt. (da muss man aber EXTREM aufpassen, denn nach einer gewissen Zeit greift die Lauge auch den Knochen an und er kann auseinanderfallen!!)

Schritt 4: Schädel mit Wasserstoffperoxid so weiß bleichen wie mans gerne hätte.
Trocknen lassen und fertig!
